SATISFYING DEBUT FOR BREBNER IN SATURDAY'S VICTORY

ICT took the lead with what was, for the second time this season, a soft penalty at Tannadice against us. Juanjo went down in the box, under a very faint challenge from Bullock, and fell to ground as if there had been a sniper in the crowd. Penalty to ICT – which was dutifully converted by Barry Wilson.

The equalizer finally came on 71 minutes when a Billy Dodds shot was palmed out by Brown in the ICT goal, and the incoming Chris Innes banged in the rebound to level the scores.

Ian McCall then switched his front line-up, bringing on James Grady to replace Jason Scotland.

With barely five minutes left, Jim McIntyre, the player sponsored by this website too, netted his second goal of the season when he received a Grant Brebner pass at the edge of the box with his back to goal. Turning adroitly, he guided a blistering drive with his left peg passed an outstretched Brown to give United a deserved victory in a game they had not exactly dominated, but had there been a ‘points decision’, would have won comfortably.

Three points to the Tangerines! A satisfying debut for Brebner, who I think will turn out to be a United fans’ favourite.

Shame Paul Ritchie is injured, i'm sure we would have seen a good outing.

All in all a good day for Arabs.
