Dundee United picked up their first point this season but needed two superb Tony Bullock saves to hold on for a draw at Almondvale.
Bullock denied Quino with a full-length diving save in the final minute of the first half and then produced a magnificent stop to tip a Marvin Andrews header over the bar after 68 minutes as the home side pressed for a winner.
But it could all have been so different if Collin Samuel had not blown a golden opportunity after just 17 minutes. The Terrors striker was left all alone at the back post and was picked out by an Andy McLaren cross but, under no pressure at all, headed wide from close range.
Livingston had threatened first with a Lee Makel long-range effort after 15 minutes but Billy Dodds also came close for the visitors moments later with a header.
Just three minutes after being let off the hook by Samuel Livingston almost went ahead when a neat Makel pass released David Fernandez but, although the Spaniard had Bullock beaten with a curling left foot shot, Danny Griffin headed clear off the goal-line.
James McAllister fired a free-kick just wide after 33 minutes as Livingston continued to press and only Bullock's full-length diving save kept things level at half time.
United stepped things up after the break and although Griffin came close with a 66th minute free-kick the nearest they came was when Livingston debutant Salvador Capin miscued a clearance which luckily rebounded straight to keeper Roddy McKenzie when it so easily could have been an own goal.
Livingston dominated after that winning a succession of corners but once again were denied when Bullock tipped over an Andrews header.
