The teams have already having met in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and Scottish Cup this season - the third time they have played in knockout competition in as many seasons - meaning both sets of players are well aware of what the other team is likely to do.
United have actually prepared to face Reid's men five times already this season, only for the weather to claim the match at Tannadice on two occasions just before kick-off.
Houston, who is still without the injured Jon Daly, admits he cannot do anything to shock his opponents in the dugout and does not envisage seeing any surprises on Accies' team sheet.
He explained: "The way the SPL is, you don't really have to watch the opposition team that much because you know each other so well. When you play four times a season and maybe once in the cup like we have then you get to know what they're all about.
"I can tell you everything about the Hamilton players and Billy Reid will be able to say the same about us. So as a manager there is very little you can do to pull off a surprise. We will have the same squad available as the other night and hopefully we don't get any more injuries on Saturday."
