Dundee United boss Peter Houston admits that David Robertson does not look like the most accomplished footballer - but insists he is worth his weight in gold. The Tannadice midfielder has an ungainly running style and earned the nickname 'Happy Feet' after a cartoon penguin for the way he moves around the park. But Houston believes the 24-year-old is effective rather than graceful. Robertson, who will be in Houston's midfield for the trip to Kilmarnock, has played in virtually every position for United and has been enjoying his best spell of form so far this season. Houston said: "David Robertson is not the most pleasing player on the eye to watch but he's a real players' player. He's been here for years, right through the youth ranks and has been a utility player - which has not always helped him. "I've seen him play right back, left back, right across the midfield and even off the front in his time. So he's able to play a number of positions and does his bit. One thing you can guarantee from him is he gives everything and so often he does the donkey work for others. "With his form lately it's hard to keep him out of the team. Against Aberdeen he picked up an injury in the first minute but kept going through it - that sums him up for me. He's a great boy and a great player. He'll fill every position for me and never moans about it once, he just gets on with the job. I like players like that."
