The youngsters agreed to move north before the transfer deadline and are likely to feature against Ally McCoist's side.
But United will be without defender Sean Dillon after he picked up a calf injury and he will join skipper John Daly (knee) on the sidelines.
Long-term absentee Scott Severin remains on the sidelines with a broken leg.
United boss Peter Houston is sure his players will not bear the scars of their last meeting with Rangers.
Last time the Gers travelled to Tannadice they left with a 4-0 victory, thanks to two penalties and three United men seeing red.
Houston was furious at the time but with a new campaign now under way, he is confident his men will go into the match with their minds clear.
United have enjoyed a solid start to the campaign but know they face a Rangers side determined to hold onto the championship.
Although they have been dumped out of Europe, McCoist's side have started the domestic season brightly and overcame in-form Motherwell with a minimum of fuss in their last SPL match.
Houston said: "Rangers here is always a massive game. The early kick-off and it being in front of the TV cameras just adds to it.
"Last time was a bit harsh, with the penalties and three sendings off.
"I said it at the time and my opinion hasn't changed.
"But that has gone now, it's a new season and we are definitely looking forward to Saturday and what will be a very tough game.
"Some people seem to be writing off the Rangers team at the moment, but I don't know why because they are top of the league.
"I saw them go to Motherwell recently, against a high flying side, and convincingly beat them. That tells me they will be right up for coming to Tannadice.
"For me, though, the big thing is it's about us. We have to be positive and try and take the game to Rangers.
"We have had a few ding-dong battles with them, some we have done very well in and some we've not done so well in, but it's one we look forward to rather than fear."
Nikica Jelavic has been ruled out for Rangers with a knee injury picked up while away with the Croatian national team.
Dorin Goian, Sasa Papac and Steven Naismith are also struggling with knocks following international duty but have a chance of making the trip to Tannadice, while Lee Wallace (hamstring), Kyle Bartley (hernia) and David Weir (hamstring) remain on the sidelines.
Lee McCulloch (knee) and Kyle Lafferty (calf) have both trained and could be in contention and new signing Matt McKay could make his debut.
