Right, time to get something aff meh chest!!
I have supported United for 28 years and like to think I am well placed to make comments or observations.
I have seen good times and bad times
I was reading an old issue of The Final Hurdle (created I think by some United for Change agitators) and noticed exactly the same themes as what we moan about now...
The issue I read was dated "March 1994" ironic really considering what happened that season.
Here are some extracts from that issue.
"Any of us who had doubts as to the job Ivan Golac had on his hands will have had them dispelled after this season's tribulations. For the fourth year running we have failed to come up with the semblance of a league challenge. How those running the club can just sit and watch Rangers win everything is beyond us"
The above was the first paragraph of the "Comment" section i.e. the editorial.
An other paragraph goes on;
"There have also been question marks raised by some Arabs over the fitness level of the squad. The amount of late goals conceded would seem to bear this out. It is fine concentrating on improving ball skills but is this being done at the expense of fitness training? If so it is a risky approach to take in the Premier League. And where is Golac's continental influence in the taking of free kicks and corners, our set-pieces must be among the worst in the division."
Substitute Golac's name for Brewster and some people are still moaning aboot the same fookin things after ah these years!!!!!
In the same issue there were letters moaning aboot the "lack of support and negativity from the George Fox stand." and so onto my main point!
I have had season tickets for aboot half oh my United career and have occupied various parts of the ground over the years.
What I need to get aff meh chest is the fookin negative crap that gets spouted by the occupants oh the dode fox!!!
Look at the reaction of Mark Kerr towards the Dode last week. The chunts in the Dode are negative as fook, rarely sing and moan like fook.
By quoting fae the The Final Hurdle (The early nineties version oh the Mad/Rivals - wha minds oh rivals sites) I'm trying to show that nothing much has changed with us following our glory years.
We have been chasing shadows since we sold Billy McKinlay/Duncan Ferguson.
A few players have been chased oot oh Tannadice - Ian Ferguson, Andy McLaren, Billy McKinlay, Christian Dailly etc etc because the dode fox moaned all the time at them.
Get a fookin grip guys!!!
All us fat cnuts in the stands couldn't kick oor ane arses yet we moan aboot commitment, fitness and skills WTF!!!!!!!!
I don't want other ****s thinking that I think all oor troubles are due to a stand in oor ground! I'm just using it as an analogy to demonstrate negativity.
2 things I think we need for our recovery.
Patience in Brewster and encouragement from the stands!
