Hearts preview by Wishae Arab

Well our inconsistency came to the fore again on Saturday past when despite an excellent display of attacking football at Pittodrie which had secured all three points we reverted to our poor home form against Dunfermline.

One statistic I read quoted over 20 chances, and if that’s true, most if not all of them must have come in the second half. Due to the (very) late departure of the GLS bus from weegieland I only arrived ten minutes before half time and so didn’t see the opposition goals, although I did receive three text messages advising us to turn the bus around!

So it’s on to Tynecastle on Saturday and it’s bus company number four of the season for the Weegie Arabs! This particular ground proved a happy hunting ground last season with two victories obtained and I am confident that despite our poor start to the season things will pick up come Saturday!

I’m absolutely certain Smith will ring the changes this weekend, or at least make one anyway, which is pretty dramatic for a man who spends the game watching with folded arms. According to reports of the under-21 game against Aberdeen, several players are queuing up for a first team place.

I must admit I liked the look of Alan Smart up front with Thommo, and I wonder whether Smith might drop Lilley to the bench to make way for him. That having been said I’m also prepared for the one up front approach favoured by our manager for away games, albeit one without much success so far.

Predictions? I’ll go for the third 2-1 United victory in a row at Tynecastle!
